A World of Wonder and Whimsy

At Susan Semmelmann Interiors, we love to design children’s spaces that stir the imagination with wonder and whimsy. Working with our clients to dream up the most dream-filled nurseries keeps our hearts young, and our creativity inspired. These precious designs show how fanciful and fabulous these rooms can be! There is a certain romance that comes into play when envisioning a nursery plan. It’s a physical representation of the things we want for our children ~ to feel safe and protected, maintain their childlike innocence, and have a space to enfold them with beauty, love, and laughter. At the very heart of this is our natural instinct to create a “nest” for our babies; we start when they are born, and before you know it, we are “nesting” their college dorm rooms and grown-up apartments! But let’s not get ahead of ourselves; as the famous song by Billy Dean says, it’s so important to “let them be little.” In this rushed and hurried world full of distractions, one of the best things we can do is create a haven of playfulness, peace, and rest for our children, and at Susan Semmelmann Interiors, it is one of our FAVORITE things to do!
